Review date: 19 February 2018
Before acquiring a printer through a dealer, you should speak with them directly about the model you are interested in.
The LaserJet Pro M402d is a black and white laser printer from HP, offering high quality black and white output. It performs well providing quality prints with decent speeds and lots of useful features
It's a well made office printer, aimed at low volume workloads in a small office / home office or for personal use. We think it is best suited for small home offices with very light print requirements
As this is a standard printer, it does not offer any additional functionality besides printing. If you need other abilities, such as scanning or faxing, you should look at multifunctional printers.
The HP LaserJet Pro M402d features a touch screen panel for easily printing and adjusting print settings and performing other useful tasks.
The LaserJet Pro M402d provides decent mono output, , with a print resolution of 1200 x 1200 DPI. There is an enhanced resolution function that also enables you to print at an even higher quality - should the need arise - although the print speed is a fair bit slower.
Offering A4 print speeds of up to 38 pages per minute, you can be sure of efficient printing for large print jobs. Duplex printing function allows you to print on both sides of a page, saving you money and reducing the environmental impact. This printer also offers a time-to-first-page of 5.7 seconds meaning individual print jobs are completed efficiently.
Extra print features for this device include: Envelope printing and Printing on transparent material
This printer does not have any networking capabilities.

When shopping for a printer, you should keep the star rating in mind and compare it to the prices being offered - low rated printers, at cheap prices can be the perfect choice.
